About Crom

Entrepreneur, investor, and thinker, Crom Carmichael has spent decades navigating business, finance, and political discourse. From co-owning a multi-state sporting goods enterprise to witnessing the rise of Nike vs. Converse, his career spans industries and pivotal moments.

In 1980, a monetary reform conference changed his worldview, leading him to co-found Knowledge Products, which produced audio programs on history’s most influential thinkers—including GOPT (Giants of Political Thought). His insights earned him a 15-year panelist role on The Teddy Bart Show, where he helped defeat Tennessee’s proposed state income tax.

As an early-stage investor, he’s backed 60+ startups, gaining both major wins and invaluable lessons. Today, he’s the host of the From Our Generation podcast, where he challenges conventional wisdom, and a regular voice on The Michael Patrick Leahy Show, breaking down the issues that matter.
